Inspiring Interiors

I am always looking for inspiration when it comes to home decorating (too bad I am unable to decorate my own home), so this house just fits the bill. I was spying on one of my favorite blogs of ALL TIME: Made By Girl, and saw this amazing home spread by Three Men & A Lady. Please go over and check out her blog, because her DIY are absolutely breathtaking! I wish I could decorate my place and hopefully someday I will be able to. In the meantime, I am collecting all these delicious photos for my future DIY projects!

Weekend Wishes

Wishing you all a very lovely rest of your weekend. I will be spending mine in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Sorry I have been MIA lately, but I will be back next week. I have had quite the workload. Sorry loves.

DIY: Casual Daytime Make-Up

On a casual day; which is pretty much ANY day other than work days (wait, work days are casual make-up days as well) this is my typical make-up look. For this day I decided to "Heidi" it up and do a side braid with a white head band (which you cannot see what so ever). 

What my routine consists of:

I have a tendency to only use Bare Minerals make-up (which can be purchased at Sephora, Ulta or any Bare Minerals store). The mineral foundation color I use is: medium tan. You can use any powder brush to apply the foundation and I try to apply it in circular motions all over my face and neck. I use the Full Flawless Application Face Brush.

When it comes to bronzer or blush (which by the way, I use both all the time) I use the Baby Buki Brush. I use a Warmth (which is basically a bronzer) and a Blush (only on the apples of my cheeks). 

When it comes to my eyes, I have quite the routine. I apply a eyeshadow over the entire lid and brow area (it's called Nude Beach). I also apply another shade to only the crease (it's called Happiness). I then use a slanted brush and dip it in water and then apply Bark (powder eye liner) to my upper lash line. I have noticed that when using the powder as liner, it lasts so much longer. Make sure to have a steady hand!

If there is ever a moment that I am feeling less than fresh when it comes to my fashion choices, no fear.... The Sartorialist and Stockholm Street Style are there. I don't really know how to explain it to you, it's better if I just show you what I mean...

It's all about the details (the accessories, shoes, jackets, etc.) and how these women combine everything just makes the entire outfit come to life. Since the weather here in Florida has been anything but NICE, I am still finding myself looking like I belong in Minneapolis. At least these blogs help me decide what to wear on these chilly days, and I could not be more thankful for them both.
